Manager’s well-earned mini-vacation! Dates, times, Memorial Day office closure.

Greetings and salutations tenants, prospective tenants, and any and all others who frequent 574 3rd St. – Central Apartments website/blog.

It has been nearly one year since my last vacation, and while I am loath to take time off when we have several vacancies, for sanity’s sake I am taking a few days off at the end of May. The dates of my vacation are as follows:

Saturday, May 27th РWednesday, May 31st. I shall return, hopefully well rested and refreshed, on Thursday, June 1st, 2017.
I guess for “official” purposes, I will “only” be gone for my scheduled shifts on Saturday, May 27th and Tuesday, May 30th, as I do not work on Sundays, the office will be closed in honor of Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th, and I do not work Wednesdays.

What does this mean for you, dear tenant?
Probably not much, except that rent checks may not be as deposited as promptly as they would normally be if I was present, and package delivery will be dicey in my absence.
I also hasten to remind you that in my absence there will be no one to read/see your online service requests, so if something goes amiss in your home, please come down to the office and fill out a “Resident’s Service Request Form” located on the office door.
As ever, our on-site employee, Milt Phelps, will be here for your service and emergency needs, and Milt’s phone number should you not already have it programmed into your phone is (415) 999-1895.
Ken Karp, our G.M./Maintenance Supervisor, can be reached at centralapts@sbcglobal.net but Ken isn’t the savviest email user so again I strongly recommend turning in service requests the old fashioned way (pen & paper).

What does this mean for you, dear prospective tenant?
Viewing hours will be limited. While our G.M./Maintenance Supervisor Ken Karp will be here on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 30th and 31st, due to the nature of Ken’s responsibilities he is generally only in the office from approximately 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Originally "The Central Hotel", built by Edward Rolkin in 1907, 574 3rd St: Central Apartments used to consist of 440 small rooms and several storefronts across the first floor, including a large saloon and dining room.
